Mary (Polly) B. Wild passed away October 31, 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease in Concord, MA at the age of 73. Born in Babylon, NY and moved at an early age to Delmar, NY she attended Bethlehem High School and graduated in1959. Polly earned a BA in history at Connecticut College and graduated 1963. Upon graduation she joined IBM in New York City and then Paris as a programmer. In 1971, she returned to graduate school at Lesley College in Boston and received a MS in Education. Following graduation in 1973, she joined the Groton-Dunstable school district as an elementary school teacher. In 1975, Polly married John Wild in a ceremony in Skaneateles, NY. They made their home in Concord, MA. She and John moved to Washington D.C. in 1977 returning to Concord in 1980 where they raised their children David and Thomas. Polly is survived by John, her husband of 39 years, and two sons Thomas and David and his wife Angie and their two children Charlie and Lauren, and a sister Margaret. A celebration of her life will be held at the Pines, a family summer home on Skaneateles Lake in upstate New York. Interment will be at the nearby cemetery in Borodino, NY.
