Mary T. (Lawton) O'Malley, 86, passed away on August 22, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Frederick H. and Christina T. (Twohig) Lawton and the devoted wife of Peter J. O'Malley Jr. of Concord. She was the beloved mother of Peter C. O'Malley of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael R. O'Malley and his wife Sharlet Trilling of Arlington, MA, Timothy J. O'Malley and his wife Ani T. O'Malley of Arlington, MA, Naureen McMillan of Los Angeles, CA. and the mother of the late Thomas E. O'Malley. She was the loving grandmother of Eric T. O'Malley, Collin O'Malley and Niall O'Malley and loving mother-in-law of the late William McMillan of Los Angeles, CA. She was the loving sister of Marguerite (Lawton) Doucet Ofria of N. Chelmsford, and Richard Lawton of Framingham and sister of the late Judge James R. Lawton, Frederick Lawton, Fr. Thomas Lawton, CSC and Sheila W. (Lawton) Stewart. Mary also leaves many nieces and nephews. Mary is fondly remembered for her loving dedication to her family. Mary and Peter moved to Concord, MA in 1958 where they raised their family of 4 sons and 1 daughter. She was an RN trained at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and worked as a psychiatric nurse at MacLean's Hospital for many years. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She was a volunteer at Willard Elementary School. Mary also loved sports and took great pride and joy in watching her children and grand-children participate in track meets, hockey games, soccer games and lacrosse games. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA will be held on Sunday, August 24th from 2-5. All are welcome. Funeral will be held on Monday, August 25th at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 am. Burial will be in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
