Mary N. Lush, 97, died peacefully November 25, 2012. She was the beloved wife of 63 years of the late Morley J. Lush. She was the mother of Susan M. Lush of Dorchester, MA and her husband Robert A. Cook, and Allen M. Lush and his wife Gail of Boxborough, MA., grandmother of Stephen, Robert, and David Lush of Boxborough and sister of Margaret Eaton of Rochester, NY and the late Carolyn Crowley of Cranston, RI. Born in East Bridgewater, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Miriam (Fearing) Nutter. She spent her childhood summers at the family homestead in Brooklin, Maine. She was a graduate of Melrose High School in 1932 and Simmons College in 1936. Mrs. Lush worked as a bio-chemist at MIT in Cambridge and at the Harvard Department of Legal Medicine. She was married in 1948 and moved to Concord, MA in 1954, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was a long time member and past president of the West Concord Women's Club and also volunteered as a puppet sewer at Emerson Hospital. She worked as a docent at The Old Manse and later at the Concord Museum into her 90's. She was a great lover of history, particularly Concord history, and crossword puzzles. Private interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 10:30 AM in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Elm Street, Concord, MA.
