Ray and Mary were married July 17, 1943, and moved back to Concord in 1947 to the Lawrence family home, as the 5th generation to live on the same land on Monument Street, where they built a home. Murphy Jr. She is the grandmother of Robert W. Damon III and his wife Robin of Marshfield, Cynthia B. Damon of Surprise, AZ, Jessica H. Minty and her husband Stephen Lane of Concord and Joshua L. Minty and his partner Katherine Adams of Boston. Mary is the great grandmother of Sophia and Nick Damon. Mary and Ray were named the Honored Citizens of Concord on Patriots Day, 1987. In addition to thousands of hours of volunteering at Emerson Hospital, Mary worked for the Town of Concord for 25-years as a census taker, and gathering data for the List of Persons residing in the Town of Concord (a.k.a. the "Nosey Book").
