Mary (Jouvelakas) Lamonakis, 90, of Concord, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at her Concord home. She was the wife of the late Emmanuel Lamonakis. Born in Somerville on February 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Liapis) Jouvelakas. She attended Somerville public schools and Somerville High School.A Concord resident since 1948, she was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lexington where she was an active member of the St. Nicholas Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed cooking, rug hooking, playing card games and scrabble. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine "Kitty" Molakas of Concord; her two sons, Nicholas E. Lamonakis and his wife Susan of Littleton and Byron Lamonakis and his wife Karen of Westford, Six grandchildren: Dean and his wife Kimberly Molakas; Lia and her husband Frank Benso; Nathan and Nicole Lamonakis; and Michael and Matthew Lamonakis. Three great grandchildren; Anna, Kayla and Alexandra Molakas. She also leaves her sister Thelma Marakoulos of Framingham, brother-in-law James Zographos of Westboro and sister-in-law Mary Lamonakis of Turners Falls. Brother George Jouvelakas, sisters Excel Alexis and Eugenia Zographos have predeceased her. Funeral will commence from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER on Wednesday, May 19th at 8:45 AM followed by a funeral service in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam Street, Lexington at 10 AM.Interment will be in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home were held on Tuesday, May 18th from 4 to 8 PM.Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam Street, Lexington, MA 02420.Arrangementswere under the care of Susan M.
