Mary T. (Dwyer) Kilfoyle, age 85, died peacefully at her Concord home on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was the loving wife for 54 years of Ralph D. Kilfoyle.
She was born in Cambridge on October 5, 1933, as the beloved daughter of the late Horace and Mary (King) Dwyer. Prior to raising a family in Concord, she enjoyed regional and world travel. Including an extensive six-month trip to Europe. More recently, a visit to her mother's home town in Ireland brought her closer to her proud Irish heritage.
A Concord resident for over fifty years, Mary was a long time member of Concord Country Club. Her volunteering efforts included assistance at the Walden Nursing Home, driving for the elderly, and events at Concord public schools. She was an active parishioner at both St. Bernard and Our Lady Help of Christians in Concord, and later St. Joseph in Lincoln.
Growing up the youngest of three, she loved sharing childhood adventures of keeping-up with her two older brothers around Cambridge and Boston. Settling in Concord with her husband in the mid 1960s, she found the perfect community to fulfill her life as a cherished wife, a wonderful mother, and a proud grandmother. Always placing her family first, Mary will be forever remembered as a loyal and caring woman.
In addition to her husband, Mary leaves behind three children, Doreen Vachon and her husband Paul, Ralph Kilfoyle III, Brian Kilfoyle and his wife Candice, and her grandchildren, Lexie, Paul Jr., Evan, and Luke, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James and William Dwyer.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Thursday, January 3rd at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, 142 Lincoln Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord. Services will conclude with a reception at the Colonial Inn, 48 Monument Square, Concord Center.
Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
