Mary Lee Jacobs, Esq., age 59 , of Concord, passed away peacefully Thursday April 30, 2010 in Concord surrounded by her family after a prolonged illness. She was the wife of the late Charles Rosebrock Esq. who died in 2009 and mother of Hilary 'Rosie' Rosebrock, a member of the Wellesley College Class of 2010. Ms.Jacobs practiced law in Boston for over 30 years serving most recently as Tufts University's General Counsel for 20 years. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Jane (Swinderman) Jacobs of Pittsburgh and the late George J. Jacobs, MD. She was a 1968 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Pittsburgh, a 1972 graduate of Wellesley College and a 1975 graduate of Boston University School of Law. A Concord resident since 1986, she formerly served on the Board of Trustees of Nashoba Brooks School in Concord. She was beloved for her intellectual curiosity, acerbic wit and generous spirit. In addition to her mother and daughter, survivors include her sisters, Alexia Jacobs of Alexandria VA, and Catherine Jacobs of Pittsburgh, a brother George J.C. Jacobs of Spokane, WA and two nieces, Caroline and Charlotte Oechsle Jacobs.  Funeral was held Tuesday May 4th from the Dee Funeral Home, Concord  followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Concord. Celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Dennis J. Yesalonia,S.J. Interment  followed in the family burial plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. The family suggests contributions in her memory be made to Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, DePaul Center, 144 DePaul Center Rd., Greensburg, PA 15601.  Arrangements were under the care of Dee Funeral Home of Concord, Charles W. Dee and Susan M. Dee, Directors.
