Mary E. Garvey, devoted aunt, friend and animal lover, died suddenly at her Concord home on February 13, 2021. She was 76. She was born on April 9, 1944 in Ticonderoga, New York as the daughter of the late Wilson and Josephine (McLouth) Garvey. She was raised in Elizabethtown, New York. After earning a B.A. in English, she began a long career in the hospitality industry in Boston. A longtime Concord resident, Mary will be remembered for her generous and steadfast support of animal charities, particularly horse and dog rescues. Mary will be forever missed by her niece, Kerrie Garvey, her two dogs, Dudley and Lizzie, and "The Girls", a special group of close friends, all of whom Mary considered her family. She was the sister of the late Wilson Garvey, and aunt of the late Sarah Garvey. Mary's life will be celebrated during a private funeral service in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home in Concord Center. She will be laid to rest alongside her parents and brother at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crown Point, New York.
