Mary Foley Dardani, 84, of Lincoln, and a longtime resident of Sudbury, died peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017. She was the wife of the late Edward V. Dardani who died in 1984. She was born on August 27, 1933 in Stratford, Connecticut to her late parents, Vincent and Ellen Foley. Mrs. Dardani graduated from Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT and Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. She also trained at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Mary was a passionate and talented artist, cook and avid reader. She practiced art on her own, and was a docent at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts for several years. She owned and operated a successful catering business for many years in Sudbury with her business partner Judy Poulin. In addition, Mary remained a lifelong and devoted reader of fiction, and non-fiction, the New Yorker magazine and the New York Times. Mary was the mother of three: Dr. Marcella Dardani of Columbus, Ohio, Ted Dardani (wife Mary) of Waccabuc, NY, and John Dardani (wife Jessica) of Stratham, NH. Mary was grandmother to six: Tristan and Esteban, and Sam, Matt, Ian and Kess. She is survived by her brother Tim Foley and his wife Jean of Palm City, Florida and was predeceased by her sister, Sally Martin and her husband Dave of Lordship, CT. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for her funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 19th at 10:00 am at the Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord, MA 01742. Burial will follow at the New Town Cemetery in Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Rosemont College, 1400 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
