Mary B. Burke, 89, of Sudbury, MA, formerly of W. Yarmouth, MA, Bridgeport, CT, and Concord, MA, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2017. Mary was born on August 14, 1927 in Galway, Ireland and emigrated to the US in 1959.
Mary was a longtime employee of Alcoa Aluminum before retiring to Cape Cod. She was a regular communicant and active volunteer at St. Pius X Church in S. Yarmouth.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, James and Nora (McLoughlin) Burke, her sister Catherine Gallagher, and her brother Walter Burke. She is survived by her sisters Josephine Murphy of Portsmouth, NH, Carmel Burke of Clearwater, FL, Sheila Butler, Patricia Riordan and Michael John Burke, all of Ireland, and many nieces and nephews.
A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4th from 9 to 9:45 am in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
