Marjorie (Johnson) Paulson, age 88, of Carlisle, died at her home on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of the late John F. Paulson, PhD who died in 2010. Born in Olean, New York on February 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Blanche (Loeffler) Johnson. After graduating from Olean High School in 1951, Marjorie earned a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Rochester in 1958. A Carlisle resident since 1967, Marjorie was an avid tennis player who enjoyed a longtime membership at the Chelmsford Swim & Tennis Club. She will also be remembered for her ardent adoration for dogs, particularly Springer Spaniels. Those left behind to cherish her memory include one son, David Paulson of Jay, VT, one daughter, Suzanne Paulson, PhD of Santa Monica, CA, and two grandchildren, Micaela and Riley Callahan-Paulson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marjorie's graveside service on Saturday, May 22nd at 2 pm in Green Cemetery, Bedford Road, Carlisle. All are welcome to attend a reception at 3pm at 93 Carlisle Pines Drive, Carlisle, MA. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Some of her favorites included the Carlisle Mosquito and the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
