Marjorie F. (O'Neill) Ferren, age 85, of Acton, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on May 4, 2021, while surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of John E. Ferren, III. Born in Boston on July 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Teresa (Fahy) O'Neill. She grew up in Groton, MA, and attended Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Newton, MA, graduating in 1952. She continued her education at Regis College in Weston, MA, graduating with a BA in 1956. Prior to being a homemaker and full-time mother, she was a school teacher. Marjorie will be remembered as a woman who embodied a profound devotion to family and faith. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind a son, John E. Ferren, IV of Acton and daughter, Susan Ferren Warner and son-in-law, Mark J. Warner of Acton, and her grandchildren, Lilly, John, Christopher, Andrew and Elizabeth. Relatives and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 15th at 10 am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, 89 Arlington Street, Acton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Sebastian's School, 1191 Greendale Avenue, Needham, MA 02458 and Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, 785 Centre Street, Newton, MA 02458. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
