Marion D. (Dacey) Hardy, wife of William E. Hardy of Concord and Ipswich, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born on July 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Leonard J. and Sarah (Foley) Dacey.
Born and raised in Milton, MA, she attended Milton public schools and was a graduate of Milton High School, and was a former employee of The Boston Globe. She was a devoted wife, and mother of 10 children and resided in Concord, MA since 1966.
Survivors include her husband and their children Anne Dolson of Ft. Worth, TX, Connie Levine of Concord, Jane Matchak of Danvers, William E. (Bill) Hardy, Jr. of Nashua, NH, Sue Hardy of Acton, Peter Hardy of Maynard, Mary Hardy of Danvers, Martha Hardy Mallard of Danvers, Paul Hardy of Acton and Edward Hardy of Concord. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren as well and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Additional survivors include her sister Dorothy Bosworth of Milton, MA and her sisters-in-law: Mary Dacey of Cleveland, OH, Jeannine Dacey of Charlotte, NC, Diane Dacey of Milton, MA and Mary Whitney of Rowley, MA. She was predeceased by brothers William, Leonard, Gerard and John Dacey and sisters Gertrude Chamberlain and Anne Henry.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Sq., Concord, MA. 01742, followed by interment at Milton Cemetery.
