Marie (Publicover) Watts, 59, of Sudbury and West Yarmouth, passed away on February 2, 2021 as a result of a brief and heroic battle with cancer. Marie was born on February 27, 1961 in Concord, MA to Veronica A. (Herman) Publicover and Francis G. Publicover. She graduated from Marian High School and received her B.A. degree from Regis College. Marie spent many years working as a manufacturer's representative for F.G. Publicover & Associates in the food service equipment field covering the New England States. Upon her marriage to the late Jeff Watts and a move to Sedona, Arizona, Marie embarked on a career in real estate. Family was extremely important to Marie as evidenced by her devotion to her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. Walking on the beach at the Cape, family gatherings, and doing arts and crafts were her greatest joys. Marie is survived by her loving parents, Veronica and Francis G. Publicover of Sudbury, siblings Margaret Publicover Kring (Michael) of Atlantic Beach, FL; James F. Publicover (Cathy) of Winston Salem, N.C.; Ann Publicover Warren (Matt) of Sudbury; Joan Publicover White (Richard) of West Yarmouth, MA & Lisle, IL; ten nephews; three nieces; three grand-nephews and one grand-niece. She is predeceased by her husband, Jeff Watts, and brothers, John H. Publicover and Francis G. Publicover, Jr. The family extends their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital Lunder 9 and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge for their loving care and perseverance in supporting Marie. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass celebrating Marie's life on Monday, February 8th at 10 am in Ascension/Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury. All attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. A private interment will occur at a later date at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Social Services of Barnstable, 261 South Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
