Marie McPhillips, 93, a life-long Concord resident, died Friday Oct. 29, 2010 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. Born in Concord on December 19, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Elizabeth (Comerford) McPhillips. She attended Concord public schools and was a 1935 graduate of Concord High School. For many years she was employed at the Concord Light Department as a secretary and later as a waitress in the dining rooms at Concords historic Colonial Inn. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Bernards and later Holy Family Parish in Concord, and also enjoyed the activities at the Concord Council on Aging and more recently in her new residence, Concord Park Assisted Living. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 5th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Thursday Nov. 4th from 2 to 4 pm.
