Obituary

Margie A. Duggan, 57, of Northborough, formerly of Concord died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at U. Mass. Memorial Healthcare in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 34 years of Michael D. Duggan. Born in San Francisco on November 24, 1953, she came to Concord at an early age, attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1971 where she was co-captain of the Cheerleaders. After attending U. Mass. in Amherst, she graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. From 1973 until 1983 she was employed as an executive secretary at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard. During that time she also was employed painting pottery at Dedham Pottery in West Concord. Mrs. Duggan later was employed at WPI in Worcester for five years as a secretary for Dr. Al Sacco, payload specialist on Space Shuttle STS 73. She has resided in Northborough since 1984. In addition to her husband Michael, survivors include her loving daughters, Marissa L. Duggan of Boston and Michela D. Duggan of Everett, and her mother Margaret L. Marsden of Concord. She was also the daughter of the late Robert W. Marsden and sister of the late Thomas W. Marsden. Cemetery: Interment will follow inNorthborough Cemetery, Northborough, Massachusetts. Visitation: Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Service: Funeral will be held on Thursday, March 31st from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish at St. Bernard's Church, Monument Square, Concord Center.
