It is with great sadness that the Bunker family announces the passing of Margareta "Meg" Bergstrom Bunker, of Concord, who passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the age of 80.
Meg Bunker was born to Vilhelm L. Bergstrom and Eva Mortsell both from Stockholm Sweden. Meg was born on October 6th 1938 in Sweden where she lived and grew up until moving to the US in 1958.
Meg was married to the late Donald Quentin Bunker of Boston, MA on July 29th 1965. They lived within the Boston area where Meg worked in banking and financial bookkeeping.
Meg was happiest being both mom and "Farmor " to her loving children. Meg would enjoy time with her family and a good book. Whether walking with her dogs or chatting over tea, Meg treasured her life, her family, and the love they provided.
Meg will be lovingly remembered by her two boys, Don Bunker and his wife Becky McEnroe of Bolton and Erik Bunker of Duxbury as well as her two grandchildren , Max Bunker of Duxbury and Mia Kristine Bunker of Quincy, all of whom Meg cherished deeply. Meg also leaves behind her sister Kristina (Kicki) Svensson and brother Nils (Nisse) Bergstrom both of Sweden.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, November 21st from 12 to 1 pm, with a memorial service beginning at 1 pm, in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA. A celebration of life and reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Meg's memory may be made to The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.mspca.org).
