Margaret M. (Thexton) Kelly, 89, of Concord, formerly of Dorchester and South Yarmouth died Thursday July 21, 2011 at her Concord home. She was the beloved wife of 45 years of the late James G. Kelly who died in 1997. Born in Fall River on April 2, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Joseph Thexton and Delia (Sheeran) Thexton. She grew up in the Mission Hill section of Boston and graduated from Mission High School. Following her marriage to Mr. Kelly in 1952 she raised her family in Dorchester where she was a member of St. Gregory Parish. Mrs. Kelly held various secretarial positions throughout her career including secretary to The Justices of Suffolk Superior Court at the New Court House in Boston from 1978 until 1981 and later from 1981 until her retirement in 1988 she was secretary to The Honorable Walter Jay Skinner at the U.S. District Court in Boston. She retired to South Yarmouth in 1988 and was a member of St. Pius X Parish there. In 2000, she became a resident of Concord, was a member of Holy Family Parish and served as a Eucharistic minister at Emerson Hospital in Concord. She enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. Since her early childhood she traveled extensively to Ireland where she enjoyed the company of her extended family and friends. She also enjoyed maintaining her many friendships, especially with her lifelong friends Eleanor Egan, Louise Lynch and Kathleen O'Brien. She is survived by her two daughters, Anne Kelly-Van Wormer and her husband Mark Van Wormer of Troy, New York, Theresa Kelly-Ruhlmann and her husband Paul Ruhlmann of Concord, her two sons, James Kelly and his wife Paula McCartney of Burlington and Paul Kelly and his wife Betsy Roosa of Concord and eight grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Van Wormer, Brian and Nicholas Ruhlmann, Christopher and Carolyn Kelly and Nathaniel and Seth Kelly. Funeral will be held on Saturday July 23rd from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 am. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Friday July 22nd from 4 to 8 pm.
