Margaret Katharina "Peggy" (Lahnstein) Domenichella, 76, formerly of Lincoln, Mass. and Summerfield, Florida died Thursday July 31, 2014 in Watertown. She was the beloved wife of Frank A. Domenichella Jr.
Born in Lincoln on September 16, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Karl F. Lahnstein and Margaret Agnes (Lennon) Lahnstein. She attended Lincoln schools, was a 1955 graduate of Concord High School, and a 1957 graduate of School of Practical Nursing in Boston.
Mrs. Domenichella was employed for several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at area nursing facilities and private homes in the Lincoln and Concord area, including Rivercrest Nursing Home in Concord and Reservoir Nursing Home in Waltham.
A long time Lincoln resident, she moved to Summerfield, Florida in 1992 and resided there until returning to Massachusetts in 2010.
She was a member of the former Concord Emblem Club, enjoyed traveling, and also playing tennis and Bingo.
She was the mother of Frank A. Domenichella III and his wife Bea of Leominster, Paul F. Domenichella and his wife Jeanne of Arlington, Stephen M. Domenichella of Missoula, Montana and Mary M. O'Halloran and her husband Charles of Lancaster, grandmother of Katherine and Rebekah Domenichella, Madeline and Peter Domenichella and Gabrielle O'Halloran and sister of Richard K. Lahnstein of Lincoln.
Funeral will be held Tuesday August 5th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 7:45 am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln at 9 am.
Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Monday August 4th from 4 to 8 pm.
