Marc P. Onigman, 66, of Lincoln, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Maureen (Finnerty) Onigman.
He was born in Boston on July 26, 1950 to Cynthia Onigman of Reading, and the late Murray Onigman. He attended Boston Public Schools, and later moved to Manchester, NH where he graduated from Manchester Central High School with the class of 1968.
Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts and a Master of Arts in History from Northeastern University in Boston. After graduating, he stayed on board at Northeastern as a Lecturer in the History department and also served as Acting Chairman of the Psychology Department.
Mr. Onigman led a successful career in Publishing and Marketing that spanned over thirty years. He was the former publisher and editor of Sportscape Magazine, the founding Publisher and Editor of Club Industry Magazine and Club Industry Shows, past Director of Marketing for Cybex International, former Editor of Worcester Magazine, former Vice President, Interactive for Myca Health Inc., Director of Corporate Communications at Gentag, and founder of Stone Hearth Newsletters in the greater Boston area.
He was a proud Boston sports fan and a lifelong Red Sox season ticket holder. In addition, he loved music, politics, and was a deli aficionado.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his children, Michael Onigman and his wife Lara of Acton, Julie Onigman of Framingham, and David Onigman and his wife Krystal of San Leandro, CA, his grandchildren, Kieran, Annie, Connor, and Graham, and his brothers, Philip Onigman of Reading and Barry Onigman of Bedford, NH.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19th at 10 am in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
Burial will follow at Lincoln Cemetery.
Visiting hours in the Dee Funeral Home are on Sunday, December 18th from 2 to 5 pm.
