Mafalda "Muffy" Franco, 93, of Woburn, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Wayside Hospice in Wayland. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Franco, Jr. Born in Boston on September 28, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Pasqualina (Mareno) D'Agostino. Survivors include 1 son, Vincent "Jim" Franco and his wife Eleanor (Regan) of Concord, Marilyn Powers and her husband Edward of Medford and Ann Marie Cuccinello of Burlington, 1 sister, Emily Grande of Florida and 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was also the sister of the late Josephine Massiello, Mary Pisiello, Jenny Rafarle, Angelo D'Agostino and Theresa Giordano. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 26th from 10 to 11 AM followed by a funeral service in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street Concord Center at 11 AM. Officiating will be Sr. Rose Marie Lipke, Pastoral Associate of Holy Family Parish in Concord. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Lexington where Sr. Rose Marie will read the committal prayers.
