Lynne A. (Butterworth) Davidson, 60, formerly of Pepperell, MA, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2018 while visiting family.
She was born on September 22, 1957 in Concord, MA, the eldest daughter of Shirley P. Butterworth and the late Lee D. Butterworth. She grew up in nearby Littleton, MA, and attended Littleton High School, and also lived for a time in Stowe, VT and Redding, CT, when the family relocated for work.
She married her first love, Allan Davidson in 1978, and the two eventually moved to Pepperell, MA and became part of the community. There they raised two sons, Brandon & Brett, who were her pride and joy. They lived in the same house for 33 years until recently, when they moved to Florida full-time for retirement.
She attended Cape Cod Community College, focusing on paralegal studies, and had a long career working in the field of law, helping hundreds of families in estate planning, real estate settlement and personal matters.
Lynne was the center of a large extended family — the go-to organizer, holiday planner and family advocate. She was someone you could count on and was always there when you needed her. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, spoiling her long-haired dachshunds, and spending time with family and friends.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered as a generous and caring person to all who knew her. She touched many people in meaningful ways and her memory will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Allan Davidson and sons, Brandon Davidson and Brett Davidson of Rotonda West, FL; her mother, Shirley Butterworth of South Dartmouth, MA; brothers Greg Butterworth (and wife Susan) of Concord, MA, and Jeff Butterworth (and wife Susan) of Camden, ME; sisters Susan Colwell (and husband Chris) of Apex, NC, and Cheryl Crawford (and husband Kurt) of Deerfield, NH; sister-in law Julia Peterson of Piermont, NH, and niece Kathy Fenoff (and husband Bob) of Westmore, VT. She leaves many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues and friends.
A graveside burial service will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 4:00 pm at the new section of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 361 Bedford Street, Concord, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the local animal rescue organization of their choice.
Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
