Lena C. (Palma) Tiano, age 99 and lifelong Concord resident, died at Emerson Hospital in Concord on Friday, January 13, 2023. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Tiano, who died in 1959.

Born in Concord on May 15, 1923, Lena was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Lamberto) Palma.

After losing her husband at a young age, Lena devoted her life to raising three children on her own, and later, frequently watching her young grandchildren. Lena loved hosting holidays, and her joy of preparing delicious meals will never be forgotten. Family always remained at the center of her life.

She leaves behind her three children, Joseph Tiano and his wife Janet, Sally Curro and her husband Frank and Nancy Anselmo and her husband Bruce, all of Acton, her grandchildren, Nicole Tiano, Megan Kehs, Brandon Curro, Taryn Espejo, Brianna Curro and Michael Anselmo, along with her great grandchildren, Evangeline, Owen, Chloe, Aubrey, Aliana, Braden and Michael, and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Lisa Anselmo, and sister of the late Margie Massarelli, Salvatore Palma, Katrina Pazaricky, Donald "Lenny" Palma and John Palma.

Lena's immediate family members gathered privately in the Dee Funeral Home on Friday, January 20th. Burial followed at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
