Kenneth David Senne, age 84, a resident of Newbury Court in Concord, died at Emerson Hospital on April 16, 2026. He was the husband for 59 years of the late Linda (Prusiecki) Senne, who passed away in 2023.
Ken was born in Akron, Ohio, and he was the second child born to David and Pannie Senne. He grew up in La Habra, California and attended Stanford University, earning a BS, MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering. After completing his education, he served in the United States Air Force as a Researcher at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He met Linda L. Prusiecki while both were studying at Stanford and they were married there, at Stanford, on June 19, 1964.
In 1972, he settled in Lexington, MA and went to work for Lincoln Laboratory, where he enjoyed a long and successful career. He led the development of surveillance systems while serving in several positions, including head of the Air Defense Technology Division from 1998 until 2002, when he became the Laboratory's first technology investment officer. He was responsible for managing the strategic investment portfolio that includes the internal innovative research programs. Ken was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in recognition of the significant contributions he made to his field of study.
Ken was a man of quiet strength and deep character. Above all, he will be remembered for the love he shared with Linda. Their marriage and dedication to one another was the center of his life. Their bond stood as a testament to true companionship. They treasured time spent at a cottage the couple purchased in Bath, Maine, right on the lake, where Ken would often go fishing. They loved to hike, ride their bikes, canoe and spend time outdoors as much as possible. Travelling the world together, Ken and Linda cherished several trips to South America, New Zealand and Europe. In their spare time, they also volunteered for programs and fundraisers benefitting PBS Boston. An accomplished pianist and guitarist, music was also an important part of Ken’s life.
Ken and Linda moved to Newbury Court in 2016.
He has been reunited with his beloved Linda. Ken is survived by a brother-in-law, David Prusiecki and wife Cynthia, niece Elizabeth Macri and husband Giuseppe, nephew Edward Prusiecki and wife Mariana, sister-in-law, Joanne (Prusiecki) Blow and husband Al, and nephews Andre and Darien Blow, along with two great nephews and one great niece. Ken was predeceased by his parents and older brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a visitation period in the Duvall Chapel at Newbury Court, 80 Deaconess Road, Concord on Monday, April 27 from 1 to 2 pm, with Ken’s funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
