Kenneth Jon Robinson, of Chelmsford, passed away on Saturday January 9th after a brief illness.
Known as Ken to his friends in polite company, he was also known as Hippie, and MacGyver, the former for his long blonde hair in High School and the latter for his ability to improvise and repair nearly any thing with a Swiss army knife.
He was a consummate professional in the automotive repair business and a perfectionist for any endeavor he set himself to tackle. He loved to create something from nothing and see it work perfectly.
With over thirty years of service to our country, Ken was happiest when he was riding his Jetski, snowmobiling, and skiing, sometimes on the same day with a little fishing thrown in. Ken couldn't wait to get on the AuSable River every chance he got when home visiting. He loved to pull pranks on friends and family as he so enjoyed a good laugh. He was an advocate for cats, supported the local spay/neuter program and rescued as many as possible.
He is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Shannon, his partner Gail Bruhn, his mother Joan Robinson, his siblings Caroline Cunningham, Janice Mier and Robert Robinson and nephews Little Kenny Martin, Shawn Martin and Jason Robinson. He was preceded in death by his father Charles.
If life were measured in experience instead of years, he outlived us all.
Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
