Kenneth D. McKenna, 79, of Concord died Tuesday May 24, 2011 in Concord. He was the loving husband of 51 years of Barbara (Adams) McKenna. Born in Cambridge on September 2, 1931 he was the son of the late Thomas F. McKenna and Mildred (Belle) McKenna. He attended Arlington schools, graduated from Arlington High School and was a 1958 recipient of a B. S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University. From 1952 until 1954 he served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. McKenna retired as Vice-President of Human Resources after 15 years of employment at Computervision in Bedford. For over 40 years, he was a track and field coach for Liberty Athletic Club in Lexington. A Concord resident since 1961, he was a former member of the Concord Minutemen. More recently during his retirement he served as a volunteer for the Concord Council on Aging and also on the Town's Personnel Board. He was an avid Lily gardener. In addition to his wife Barbara, survivors include his daughter Pamela Murtagh and her husband Tom of Chelmsford, his son David McKenna of Oregon, his grandchildren Kade, Maggie, and Beau McKenna of Oregon and Scott and Jenny Murtagh of Chelmsford, and his brother Thomas McKenna and his wife Jean of Belmont. He was also the loving uncle of Kyle, Courtney and Brooke McKenna and is also survived by several cousins. He was the brother of the late Wilfred McKenna.  Funeral will be held Saturday May 28th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 am. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Friday May 27th from 4 to 8 pm. Contributions in his memory may be made to Concord Friends of the Aging, 1276 Main Street, Concord, MA 01742. Arrangements are under the care of Charles W. Dee and Susan M.
