Kathryn Lee (Graf) Gosselin, age 78, daughter of the late Kenneth Graf and Juliet Graf Howard, died peacefully at Edgewood LifeCare Community, North Andover, MA on January 30, 2022.
Kathryn's formative years in Detroit, Michigan were surrounded by a strong family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She studied journalism and communications at Michigan State University, then moved to Boston in 1966 where she worked for Arthur D. Little (ADL) in public relations for over 25 years. During this time, she continued her education, graduating from Northeastern University in 1982 with a B.A. in English Literature. Upon leaving ADL, she was founder and President of New England Management Company and consulted for major businesses in the Boston area.
On May 14, 1988 she married Jean Paul Gosselin and was blessed with a loving husband and life partner for over 30 years until his untimely death in February 2021. Jean's children and family became hers as well, and the grandchildren were theirs together.
In 2004, Kathryn and Jean purchased the 1758 Hosmer House at 69 Walden St. in Concord Center that had been authentically restored by a previous owner. They opened their home as the Mill Brook Inn Bed & Breakfast and for several years graciously hosted travelers from all over the world. Kathryn extended warm hospitality to family, friends, and strangers.
Kathryn was a graceful ice skater and cross-country skier. She was a skilled photographer.She loved nature, birds, local history, and books on every subject. She loved animals and over the years found companionship with her beloved cats Otis, Tigger and Pooh. In 2000 she was featured in The Boston Globe Magazine article about Angell Memorial Animal Hospital.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Jean Paul Gosselin. She is survived by her brother Larry Graf (Susan) of Fort Wayne, IN, niece Tracy Desnoyers of Fort Wayne IN, niece Nicole Warren (Jeremy) and their children Mia and Noah of Scarsdale, NY, stepdaughter Kristen Gosselin (Renard Charity) and her children Olivia and Jason of Needham, MA, stepdaughter Danielle Gosselin (Jonathan Fansmith) and their children Lila and Jane of Washington D.C., and godson David Richards (Katie), their children Madeline and Harrison of Stratton, ME and his mother Pamela Richards of Green Cove Springs, FL.
Private funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 12th at Dee Funeral Home in Concord, MA. Interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord. Please click below to watch the recorded replay.
