Kathleen Eleanor Wesinger (Harrington) passed away after a battle with cancer in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on December 18, 2011 at the age of 76. Kay was born in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1935 and married in 1955 to Ralph Edward Wesinger Sr. they lived in Concord from the late-1950s until Kay's retirement in 1987. She was a special police office in Concord from 1960's through 1987. She also worked for the Raytheon Corporation and Concord Auto Auction. Kay is survived by her husband Ralph and their three children, Skeeter (Ralph Jr.) and his fiancée Ana Maria Ortega of Naples FL, Linda of Lowell MA and Maureen Lewis and her husband William of Concord MA and her three grand children Alissa Wesinger of Philadelphia PA, Nick (Ralph III) Wesinger of Brunswick ME and Caitlyn Lewis of Concord MA., her sisters, Shirley Beck of Waltham, Marylou Rogers of Waltham, Joan Comptois of Waltham, Francis Jones of Pelham, NH, Roberta Johnston of Billerica and Jacqueline Harrington of Waltham.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine Harrington and her sister Patricia Sharpe all of Waltham, Ma. Kay lived the majority of her life as a resident of Concord, Massachusetts and spent free time traveling the country with Ralph. In her retirement she spent twenty years amongst loving friends and neighbors in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was a remarkable woman - a life-long, dedicated professional; an accomplished gardener; an amazing seamstress, devoted gem hound, avid square dancer and enjoyed working out at her gym, but above all a loyal and loving mother and wife. We celebrate her life and take heart in having known and witnessed the kindness and generosity she freely extended to her family and others everywhere. Kathleen is sadly missed and much loved and will forever remain so.
Cemetery:
Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
Visitation:
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Thursday Dec. 22nd from 4 to 8 pm.
Service:
Funeral will be held Friday December 23rd from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 12 Noon followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 1 pm.
