Kathleen T. (Dee) Horgan, 89, of Concord and West Hyannisport, died Sunday, June 19th at the Rivercourt Residence in Groton. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Horgan who died in 1994. Born in Concord on December 1, 1926, she was the cherished daughter of the late Michael J. Dee and Margaret (McManus) Dee. She attended Concord Public Schools and graduated from Concord High School in 1945. In 1948, Kathleen graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she served in the Cadet Nurse Corps. For twenty-five years, prior to her retirement in 1992, she was employed by Nuclear Metals in Concord as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse. In the late 1960's and 1970's, she was the camp nurse at Camp Sewataro in Sudbury. She was a longtime member of the Third Order of St. Francis. During her retirement, she enjoyed summering in West Hyannisport where she had met her husband in 1950. In addition, she loved to sing, and enjoyed watercolor painting. Survivors include her children, Patrick Horgan and his wife Krishna of Yarmouthport, Kevin Horgan and his wife Beth of Sterling, Monica McCann and her husband Shawn of Pepperell, Julia Horgan of Pepperell, Kathleen "Kasey" McNamara and her husband Gary of Sterling, her grandchildren, Brendan, Declan, and Liam McCann, and Caitlin, Aidan, and Daniel Horgan, her sister, Mary J. Moreau of Maynard, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Brendan Horgan, and sister of the late Julia Gallagher, Loretta Frawley, Margaret Frances Kilmartin, Bernard E. Dee, Veronica Foley, Vincent Dee, and Michael J. Dee, Jr. Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard DeVeer. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord where Fr. DeVeer will read the committal prayers.
