Kathleen G. "Kay" Cook, 94, formerly of Concord and Lincoln died Monday May 7, 2018 in Littleton. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Cook.
Born in Arlington on October 18, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Edward McGrory and Ellen (Barry) McGrory. She attended Lexington Public Schools, was a 1941 graduate of Lexington High School and a 1944 graduate of Boston School of Dental Nursing. She later was employed as a Dental Assistant.
She was married to Mr. Cook at St. Bridget's Church in Lexington in 1950. After their marriage, she moved to Lincoln and raised her six children while helping to run a very popular roadside stand and cider mill, Cook's Farm. She moved to Concord in 1994.
Mrs. Cook was the mother of Elizabeth Cugini and her husband Richard of Natick, Patricia Sweeney of Maynard , Kathleen Mulligan of Tewksbury, Christine Tower and her husband Bruce of Glen Allen, VA and the late Maureen Cook and Peter Cook. She was the grandmother of the late Meghan Cugini and sister of the late Edward McGrory and is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Friday, May 11th from 4 to 7 pm.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 10 am.
Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Following cemetery services, relatives and friends are invited to attend a reception at the St. Michael's Church Parish Hall, 90 Concord Road, Bedford.
