IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen (Morrissey)
Bunce
February 3, 1957 – June 19, 2023
Kathleen Marie (Morrissey) Bunce, of Lincoln, affectionately known as Kathy, died suddenly in her home on June 19, 2023. She was 66.
Born in Cambridge on February 3, 1957, she was the loving daughter of the late J. Neil Morrissey and Mary "Mae" (Walsh) Morrissey.
Kathy cherished her Lincoln roots. She loved growing up in a small town, where she made many lifelong friends. After graduating high school, her spirit of adventure led her on travels around the country with her former husband of over twenty years, William Bunce, Sr. They raised their children in Texas, before she returned home to Lincoln in 1999.
She will be remembered for her steadfast hard work ethic as well as her love of the outdoors and children. Kathy had a profound admiration for animals, especially her daughter's dogs and cats, all of whom she considered her grandchildren. She lived a quiet life, finding immense joy in her family, nature and books.
Kathy's memory will live on through her three beloved children, Erin Bunce and her partner Cris Arratia, Kara Bunce and her partner Andrew Wood and son, William Bunce, along with one grandchild, Grace. She also leaves behind her siblings, Mary Ann Morrissey and her partner Robert Zani, Peggy O'Brien and her husband Francis, John Morrissey Jr. and his wife Kelly Barnes Morrissey, Ellen DeRosa and her husband Robert and Kevin Morrissey and his wife Kara Kugelmeyer Morrissey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close family friend, Teddy. She was also the sister of the late Maureen Black.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Sunday, June 25th from 3 to 5 pm.
