Kate Harvey, 44, of Concord, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 after a long illness with lupus and cancer. Born in Boston on November 3, 1967, she was the daughter of Patricia M. (Hennessy) Harvey of Concord and the late Charles J. Harvey. She attended Concord public schools and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1985. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wellesley College graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. In 1999 she graduated from New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown with a Masters degree in Acupuncture. Since 2000, Kate worked as an Acupuncturist in private practice at the Concord Medical Center. Previously, she interned at McLean Hospital in Belmont and Children's Hospital in Boston. A lifelong Concord resident, she was often seen walking her dog, Kuma and enjoyed knitting. A sports enthusiast during her youth, she was an avid hiker, skier and tennis player. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society of Massachusetts. In addition to her mother, Patricia, she is survived by 1 sister, Jessica Harvey of Concord, 2 brothers, Charles J. Harvey and Peter D. Harvey and his wife Linda of Deerfield, New Hampshire and 4 nieces and nephews, Petra Tryggvadottir of Reykjavik, Iceland, Linda Patricia, Charles Damian and Ruby Jean Harvey, all of Deerfield, New Hampshire. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 4th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 10 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 11 AM. Burial will be in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the care of Susan M.
