Julie T. (Campobasso) Walton, 91, a lifelong Lincoln resident died Wednesday March 28, 2012 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank E. 'Ike' Walton who died in 1984 and mother of the late Janet who died in 1994. Born in Waltham on July 4, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (DeMao) Campobasso. She grew up in Lincoln, attended Lincoln schools and later Concord High School. Mrs. Walton retired in 1982 after over 30 years of employment as a Postal Clerk in the Lincoln Post Office. She enjoyed playing the Massachusetts State Lottery, especially scratch tickets. She was the aunt of Barbara Flannery of York, ME, Martha Anderson of Ocala, FL, Richard Campobasso of Lincoln, Walter Van Wart of Lincoln, Peter Campobasso, Ann Marie Campobasso of Waltham, Robert Campobasso of Ft. Myers, FL, David Campobasso of Gretna, LA, Diane Soberg and Patricia Snyder, both of Lehigh, FL, Sheila Stenner of Atlanta, GA and the late Charles Campobasso and Phyllis Flannery. She also leaves her brother-in-law Clifford 'Red' Bradley of Lincoln and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of Charles W. Dee and Susan M. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in Lincoln Cemetery.
Visitation:
Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Sunday April 1st from 3 to 7 pm.
Service:
Funeral will be held Monday April 2nd from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 8:45 am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln Rd., Lincoln at 10 am.
