Joyce (McPhillips) Pettus, age 69, of Concord, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on January 18, 2022. Born and raised in Concord, Joyce graduated from Concord Carlisle High School in 1970, followed by earning a bachelor's degree from UMass Boston, and a master's from Suffolk University. Joyce worked at the Concord District Court, first as a Clerk and then as a Probation Officer, for over 25 years. Once she retired, she was employed on a part-time basis at the Mass Audobon Shop in Lincoln and at the Concord Building Department. She loved being with family, reading, and watching reality television. She was a faithful "Days of our Lives" viewer, and of course, "ConnorTV" which was FaceTime with her grandson. Joyce is survived by her spouse, Robert Pettus, one son, Michael Pettus and wife Kristin, one daughter, Lauren Malloy and husband James, her beloved grandson, Connor, and her brother, David McPhillips and his wife Sherry. She was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor (Rider) McPhillips and Thomas McPhillips. Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, January 26th from 5 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center on Thursday, January 27th at 10:30 am. Please click here to view the church livestream of the Mass .
