A devout catholic for his entire life, Joe was a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus and honor guard and served as a past Grand Knight for the Lexington council. He was a longtime parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro. Joe was a member and past president of the Concord Rotary Club and was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow recognition. In his spare time, he was an avid bowler.
