John L. Schipelliti, age 86, of Woburn, died on Thursday, December 21, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband for 58 years of the late Frances Shirley (Rizzitano) Schipelliti who died in November of 2016. He was born in Boston on October 6, 1931, the son of the late Pietro and Rosa (Puleo) Schipelliti. As a young child, he briefly resided in Messina, Italy, before returning to Dorchester where he was raised. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston and proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. John was employed as a Manufacturing Process Engineer at ADE Corporation in Newton for many years. A Woburn resident for nearly sixty years, he was a man of faith and remained lovingly devoted to his family. He is survived by his children, Peter Schipelliti of Newton, James Schipelliti and his wife Lynn of North Reading, John B. Schipelliti and his wife Patti of Reading, Lisa R. Schipelliti-Marble and her husband David of Ayer, and Paul Schipelliti of Woburn, his grandchildren, Sarah L. Schipelliti, Christopher J. Schipelliti, Sandra M. Schipelliti, Carli E. Schipelliti, Jay M. Schipelliti, Lili F. Marble, Rose G. Marble, and John L. Marble, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Luciano Schipelliti of Burlington. Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, December 27th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. An additional period of visitation will begin on Thursday, December 28th at 10 am in the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord where representatives of the United States Air Force will render military honors.
