Born in Concord Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John William Culkins and Mary Hilda Culkins. He attended Boxboro schools and completed 2 years of college at Boston University. Jack also served in the United States Army Reserves for 3 years. After working for Digital Computers and pursuing training in print editing, Jack spent most of his time working in restaurant businesses. He lived and worked in Hyannis, MA for the last 35 years. He was an avid reader, history lover and a New England Patriots fan. Survivors include his nieces, Sarah B. Holdgate of North Smithfield, RI; Melissa Culkins Bair of Norwood, MA and nephew Ernest W.
