Joan (Sweetser) Wright, 77, of Concord died Friday September 4, 2015 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late Kent Wright. Born in Winchester on December 18, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Charles N. Sweetser and Jane (Perkins) Sweetser. She attended Winchester schools, graduated from Winchester High School and later from Colby Junior College. Following her marriage to Mr. Wright, she and her husband became co-owners and operators of Wright Design in Sudbury. She retired in 2007. A Concord resident for over thirty-five years, she was a member of the Concord C.O.A. She had previously resided in Sudbury. In the past several years, Mrs. Wright took up the art of Reiki, more recently becoming a Reiki master. She loved to travel with her high school "forever" friends and looked forward to their many trips together. She was the mother of Craig Wright and the late Douglas and David Wright, mother-in-law of Diane Wright and Mecia Moore, proud grandmother of Adam D. Wright and brother of David Sweetser and the late Martha Wright. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center will be held on Friday September 18th from 4 to 5:30 followed by a memorial service at the Dee Funeral Home at 5:30 pm.
