Joan (Mooney) Curtin, formerly of Concord, MA, Pocasset, MA, and Sarasota, FL, died peacefully on February 25, 2023 at the age of 91 in Westford, MA.

Born in 1931 to the late Charles J. and Marguerite (Gallagher) Mooney and raised in Pennsauken, NJ, Joan received a bachelor's degree in English from Douglass College. She then worked for the Philadelphia Bulletin, married William A. "Bill" Curtin, her devoted husband of 57 years, and turned to raising a family. At the age of 45, she earned a master's degree in accounting from Bentley College and then worked for Raytheon Company until her retirement.

Joan enjoyed playing golf, playing bridge, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends. Joan was a loving wife and took great joy in being a mother. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was kind, wise, supportive, and nurturing.

She leaves her four children, Carol, Bill Jr. and wife Beth, Dan, and Trish and husband Steve, five grandchildren, Nicholas and wife Camilla, Cammie and husband Charlie, Peter, Charlotte, and Kathryn, two great grandchildren, Milo and Mason, her brother, Charles J. Mooney, Jr., and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Marguerite Glauber.

Family and friends will gather for visiting hours in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center on Wednesday, March 1st from 4 to 7 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish on Thursday, March 2nd at 10:30 am. A private burial will follow at a later date in Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne.
