Jenifer L. Thomas, 48, of Billerica, formerly of Lincoln, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Falmouth from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Waltham on April 6, 1962 she was the daughter of George W. and Jane (Volpe) Thomas. She attended Lincoln public schools and graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury High School in 1980. In 1984, she received a Bachelor of Science degree and in 1986 a Masters of Science degree from UMass Lowell. Ms. Thomas worked at AMGEN in Woburn as a Senior Director of Process Development. A biologist, she worked at some of the region's best-known pharmaceutical firms. During her leisure time, she enjoyed camping with friends in Vermont, Scuba diving in the Caribbean, Great Barrier Reef and Kwajalein as well as traveling. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Anthony J. Thomas of Leverett and Dr. Henry G. Thomas and his wife Jai of Stow, her nieces, Julia Sundell-Thomas of Troy, New York and Lilly Sundell-Thomas of Ithaca, New York. Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 8:45 AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 142 Lincoln Road, Lincoln at 10 AM.
