IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeannette
Lefebvre
April 21, 1937 – July 2, 2023
Jeannette Pauline (Duhaime) Lefebvre of Concord, MA passed peacefully on Sunday July 2, 2023 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of Edouard O. Lefebvre who predeceased her in 2010.
Born in West Warwick, Rhode Island on April 21, 1937, she was the eldest child of Henry and Jennie (Petrella) Duhaime. She is predeceased by her brother Henry "Bud" Duhaime. Jeannette grew up in West Warwick and attended St Xavier's Academy in Providence before attending St Joseph's School of Nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse.
Jeannette worked at St Joseph's Hospital and in 1961 she married Ed. They lived in North Providence, Rhode Island until settling in Concord MA in 1967 where they raised their nine children. She worked as a nurse on the Mother/Baby Unit at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton MA where she worked for 25+ years, before retiring in 2004.
Jeannette and Ed worked tirelessly to provide a home filled with love and faith, for their own children, exchange students, and others who found a seat around their table. The greatest gift that they shared was their faith. It took priority above all else.
Jeannette was a communicant at Our Lady Help of Christians and then at Holy Family. She enjoyed being involved in her parish and was involved with both the CCD and RCIA programs in both Our Lady's and later Holy Family as well as participating in her true love the choir. Jeannette participated as a soprano in both Our Lady's and Holy Family's choirs where she continued to share her faith and build friendships.
Jeannette shared her love of Disney with everyone she met and enjoyed many trips there with family and friends before she reconnected with her childhood vacation spot of Narragansett. Once that happened she and Ed enjoyed vacationing back in Rhode Island with their children and grandchildren over the summers. After the loss of her husband, Jeannette traveled to exciting locations like Alaska and Rome with her faithful group of nursing friends.
Jeannette was the loving mother of Marie-Elena of Stow, Karen (Dennis) Bresslin of Manchester NH, Michele McLean of Maynard, MA, Mark (Karen) of Westford MA, Kristin (Armand) DiLando of Chelmsford MA, Brian (Cheri) of Littleton, MA, Kenneth (Kris) of Chelmsford, MA, Faith (Stephen) Piotte of Stow and Melissa (Brian) Sanders of Maynard, MA. Jeannette is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who she doted on until her final days.
