Jeanne E. Strain, 72, of Somerville, MA, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2024 after a brief illness.

Jeanne was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph H. and Marie M. Strain of Concord, MA. She is survived by her siblings, Joseph H. Strain Jr. and his wife Betty Akiba, Peggy Strain, Donna M. Woelki and her husband Michael Woelki, as well as her two beloved nephews, Eric and Greg Woelki.

Jeanne earned a B.A. from Tufts University and an MA in City Planning and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was an economic development director for the cities of Boston and Cambridge, MA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology or to the Lyme Disease Association .

Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
