Jeanne T. Nener, 75, of Beverly, formerly of Bedford, a retired Transportation Engineer with the MBTA, died peacefully while surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
She was born in Somerville on August 20, 1943 to her late parents, John Nener and Kathryn (Flagg) Ford. She graduated from Somerville High School with the class of 1961, and later attended the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston, receiving a B.A. in Engineering.
Jeanne was a talented artist and writer. She had a deep love for volunteering and taught countless foreigners how to speak English as a second language. An animal lover, she rescued and treasured her beloved cat, Baby, who has been an important part of her life for the last several years.
She leaves behind four children, Theresa Keane of Cambridge, Laura Rohling and her husband Hank of Highlands Ranch, CO, Lawrence Keane of Fall River, and Julie Santucci and her husband Richard of Lynn, her grandchildren, Kathryn, Abbey, and Daniel Lutz, and Henry, Maggie, and Max Rohling, two great-grandchildren, Julian and Zoey, one sister, Kim Nener-Plante and her husband Dennis of Bedford, several nieces and nephews, as well as her "grand-dog", Kody. She was the sister of the late Pam, Richard, and Jack Nener.
Relatives and friends will gather for visiting hours on Monday, April 29th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 10 am in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
