Jean (Manning) Oprie, 85, died on Thursday, December 27, 2018. She leaves her children, Robin Cicchetti, Bethany Oprie, Jennifer Tabor, and Lynn Calado; her grandchildren, Chase Cicchetti, Christina Cicchetti, and Keaton Asma. Jean worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren, to whom she passed on her love of reading. She was a passionate Red Sox fan and credits herself with "reversing the curse" in 2004 when she brought a statue of the Infant of Prague to Fenway Park and blessed the field. Her family will honor and remember Jean's life in a private gathering at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
