Jean M. (Brothers) O'Dowd, 87, of Acton , formerly of Concord died Sunday July 22, 2012 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of 50 years of the late Charles J. O'Dowd who died in 1994. Born in Concord on October 6, 1924 she attended Concord schools and was a 1943 graduate of Concord High School. She became a resident of Acton in 1948 and was active as a Den Mother in the Acton Boy Scouts and as a volunteer for the Acton Little League. She was the mother of Charles W. O'Dowd of West Hatfield, James Scott O'Dowd of Fitchburg, Janet Hannon of Leominster, Mary Richardson of Gainesville, FL., John P. O'Dowd of Maynard and the late Richard O'Dowd of Littleton, and is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services are private.
