Jean B. (Salo) Cook, 65, of Northborough, Wareham, and Marco Island, FL, died comfortably while surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. She was the cherished wife for 31 years of John W. Cook. She was born on November 20, 1952 to her late parents, Anton Salo and Julia Kurchaski. Jean graduated from Burncoat High School in Worcester. For over twenty-five years, she was employed by Astra Pharmaceutical in Westborough, where she met her husband. They enjoyed over thirty years of loving marriage. Her greatest joy was spending time together, whether it was daily errands, serving as "First Mate" for numerous fishing excursions on Cape Cod and Florida, or travelling throughout Europe. Jean treasured the special bond shared with each of her many nieces and nephews, all of whom played an integral role in her life. In addition to her husband, she will be deeply missed by her stepchildren, Stephanie Allen and her husband James of Dover, and Jason Cook and his wife Rebecca of Port St. Lucie, FL, three siblings, Helen McCormick of Worcester, Paul Lenkarski and his wife Sue of West Boylston, and Joe Salo of Worcester, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was also the sister of the late Dave Salo. Burial services at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, MA are private.
