Mrs. Shriber was the wife of the late Harold S. Shriber, who predeceased her in 2017. Janice is survived by her daughter, Ellen Joy-Shriber Bluth and her husband Michael of Acton and her twin grandsons Benjamin Maddox and Alex Kellert Bluth.

Janice Kellert Shriber, 89, a longtime resident of Acton, entered into rest on February 16, 2023 as a resident of the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on August 3, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kagan) Kellert of Brighton, MA.

Janice grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts and attended the Massachusetts Teacher's College in Boston where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Janice spent several years teaching third-grade in the Bedford Public School District. Janice also created and ran a children's chorus as part of the Acton Boxboro Community Education Program for many years and was well respected. Janice loved spotting all types of birds and matching them to birds in her bird book, doing crosswords puzzles daily with Harold, and really enjoyed spending time with her cats. Music was present throughout all that she did whether she was playing the piano or listening to the radio. Once her grandsons were born, she simply could not get enough of them, they were simply a blessing to her.

Graveside Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 21st at 1 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, 104 Concord Rd., Acton, MA. All are welcome to return to the Bluth family home after the ceremony.

Additionally, the Bluth family will hold Shiva at their home on Monday February 27th from 4:30 until 7:30 PM.
