Obituary

Janet E. (Sobieszczyk) Fritsch, 59, of Concord, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her Concord home. She was the beloved wife of Edward F. Fritsch. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rosemarie (Fazioli) Sobieszczyk. She attended Pittsburgh, PA parochial schools, St. Wendelin High School and graduated from Bishop Boyle High School in 1970. While attending St. Wendelin High School, she met her husband, Edward. They were married at St. Wendelin Church in Pittsburgh in August of 1971. They lived in Boston for the first two years of their marriage, and later lived in Wisconsin, California and Michigan. A resident of Concord, since 1982, she enjoyed playing board games and taking care of her family and home. In addition to her husband, Edward, she is survived by her three children, Lisa Fritsch of Boston, Matthew Fritsch of Los Angeles, California and Katherine Zucco of Brighton and her sister, Carol Sobieszczyk of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was also the sister of the late RoseAnn Kaplan. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445. Visitation: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 3rd from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Service: Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 4th from the Dee Funeral Home at 11:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 12:30 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald Gomes.
