Jane L. (Hanlon) Martin, of Concord, died peacefully at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln on October 11, 2025. She was 67.

Jane was born on April 24, 1958 to her late parents, Arthur and Dorothy Hanlon. She was a member of the graduating class of 1976 from Concord-Carlisle Regional High School. Later, she earned a secretarial certificate from Middlesex Community College.

During her younger years, after high school, she worked for the Concord District Court, Sheraton Hotel, and as a Secretary before getting married and starting a family. As her children grew up, she focused much of her time being a devoted Mother. For many years, she was employed by Verrill Farm, managing the customer service department. She also enjoyed her time working at FootStock in Concord Center.

Outside of work and family, Jane found joy in the simple pleasures: tending to her garden, crafting, knitting, cooking and baking. A woman of deep intellect, she was a lifelong lover of books. She found peace in quiet moments spent reading and maintaining her own personal library, which often included selling books from her ever growing collection. Jane will also be remembered as a strong-willed person who lived life with conviction. She was deeply admired by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Joseph Martin, two daughters, Heather and Sarah Martin, her sister, Shirley Brewer, and Shirley's grandchildren, Nick, Sam, Grace, with whom she was close.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jane's life during visiting hours on Sunday, October 19th from 2 to 4 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.

Donations in her honor may be made to the Massachusetts Center for Unexpected Infant and Child Death .
