Jan (Quigley) McGinn, 58, of Concord, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the wife of Paul O. McGinn. Born in Boston on May 30, 1954 she was the daughter of the late John L. and Jean (Regan) Quigley. She attended St. Rose School in Chelsea and graduated in 1972 from Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, received a Bachelor of Arts in English and History, cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, class of 1976. In 1982 she received a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in public management, with high honors from Boston University Graduate School of Management. For many years, Jan was self-employed as an Independent Consultant for McGinn Associates, where she worked with several nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to develop financial and strategic plans. She also assisted many high school students with their college search and application process. A Concord resident since 1994, she was active as a CCD teacher at St. Bernard's Church/Holy Family Parish, President of the Concord Education Fund from 2001-2004 and from 2004 -2010 she served as a Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Committee member. She previously lived in Charlestown and was President of the Board of the Cambridge YWCA. From 1988 – 1999, she worked as the Revenue Manager for the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority and from 1983 - 1986, she was the Budget Manager for the Mass Bay Transportation Authority. In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by two sons, Matthew R. McGinn and Benjamin L. McGinn; one brother, John L. Quigley, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Barrington, RI; one sister, Kristen Quigley Coe and her husband Mark of River Forest, IL; her father-in-law, John J. McGinn, Jr. of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. Cemetery: Interment will follow in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord, Massachusetts. Visitation: Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Service: Funeral will be on Friday, January 4th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
